Young Dromineer Sailor qualifies for Euro Championships

13-year-old Ruairí Slattery from Dromineer, representing Lough Derg Yacht Club, delivered a standout performance in extremely challenging and windy conditions at the Youth Nationals, held at Ballyholme Yacht Club in Bangor from the 9th-12th April.

Ruairi’s performance earned him qualification for the Irish team, and he will now represent Ireland at the Optimist European Championship in Gdynia, Poland, this July.
