Remembering Little Blue Hero Ben

A 5K fun run/walk in memory of Honorary Garda Ben Hogan will take place on Sunday, August 13.

Ben, who lived at Ormond Keep, was the first ‘Little Blue Hero’ in Nenagh and had been part of a new Garda Síochána community initiative. Little Blue Heroes is a not-for-profit charity that aims to help families who have children undergoing long-term medical treatment for serious illness.

Sadly, Ben died last year. The upcoming fundraiser will take place on what would have been his fourth birthday. It will be held in his memory and in aid of the Little Blue Heroes Foundation.

The ‘BENefit for Friends’ will set out from Nenagh Garda Station at 11am, with registration taking place from 10am. Entry is €20 for a family (two adults, two children) or €10 per adult and €5 per child.

Running/walking only - no bicycles, please.
