Holders Nenagh drawn against Toomevara in North Senior Championship
The draws for the outstanding North Tipperary hurling and football championships took place on Wednesday night.
In the showpiece senior hurling championship with contains seven clubs, defending champions Nenagh Eire Og have been drawn in the quarter finals against old rivals Toomevara, while county champions Kilruane MacDonaghs are up against Borris-Ileigh. Kiladangan will meet Roscrea who return to the championship after a one year absence with Templederry Kenyons getting the bye to the semi-finals.
In the Premier Intermediate Championship containing six teams, defending champions Portroe received a bye to the semi-finals along with Lorrha, with the two quarter finals seeing Ballina up against Burgess while Newport were paired with Silvermines, the first of two meetings between the sides as they have also been drawn in the same county championship group.
The Intermediate Championship contains four teams and will have straight semi-finals between Borrisokane v Kiladangan and Moneygall v Shannon Rovers.
The dates for the start of these three championships will depend on the progress of the Tipperary senior teams in the championships but will likely be played in July if either team failed to reach an All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final or a Tailteann Cup Football Final.
