Further acts announced for Oktoberfest music festival in Nenagh
Nenagh Oktoberfest 2022 is a brand new seasonal music festival of Trad, Blues, Folk, Rock and Country music.
Beginning this Friday, October 14, and running right through until Sunday, 22, Nenagh Oktoberfest 2022 is two weekends of live music featuring a mixture of international artists and bonafide local performers and talent.
It begins in The Kenyon this Friday, October 14, with ‘Guns Reloaded’, Europe's No 1 Guns ‘n’ Roses tribute show. This is an amazing opportunity to see a classic rock show in all its glory. All we can say is that these guys take their roles as each Guns ‘n’ Roses member very seriously. From Axl to Slash, these guys are the real deal. A fantastic bunch of musicians and an even better live band! Come and see them live; you will not be disappointed. Doors: 9pm; band onstage at 10pm.
Saturday 15 will be the incredible international blues guitarist Johnny Gallagher and the amazing Boxty Band live at Nenagh Arts Centre.
Based in Monaco, Johnny and his band have toured with Albert Lee, Buddy Guy, Steve Lukather and countless others throughout the European Blues and festival circuit.
This is Johnny's first time in Nenagh and his first southern show in over a decade. His guitar playing covers a unique range of rock styles and Country picking, with which he can naturally and masterfully turn himself into a true Blues man. To top it all, Johnny possesses a truly unique and expressive voice, which showcases his songs with the dynamics to swoop from a scream to a whisper!
With special guest James McGrath, this will be a show not to be missed. Tickets are available from www.nenagharts.com and doors are at 8.30pm.
Sunday 16 will see a full day of traditional music bouncing from venue to venue with current all-Ireland senior accordion champion Keelan McGrath, Alan Finn and Sean Kelliher. Trad around the town; not a bad way to end the weekend!
Heading into our second week of musical entertainment, beginning on Friday, October 21, ten Nenagh-based performers will perform live in the Nenagh Tourist Office; each musical performance will be recorded for future broadcast. This unique show is open to the public for all to see. Performers include Conor Fahy, Dave Richardson, Emma FitzGerald, Trad Óg and many more.
Saturday 22 will see the country music ambassador Trudi Lalor live with special guests Mick Foster, Moyra Fraser and Marc Roberts . Tickets for this unique show are free and available from the Nenagh Arts Centre.
On Sunday 23 Trad around the Town continues with Keelan McGrath with special guests Sean Burke and Michael Bourke performing live throughout Nenagh town. Beginning at 4pm; see www.facebook.com/nenaghlive for a complete list of times and venues.
