Junior ‘A’ Football Championship: The draw for the semi-finals of the North Junior ‘A’ Football Championship semi-finals was made on Monday evening.

In the semi-finals to be played on Wednesday 25th May, Portroe host Roscrea-Inane while Kiladangan travel to Newport. In the event of a draw after normal time, Extra Time and penalties.

The North Junior ‘A’ Football Final will be played on Wednesday 1st June.

Junior ‘B’ Football Championship: The draw for the North Junior ‘B’ Football Championship was also made on Monday evening. Five teams have entered and in the only quarter final, Ballina host Kilruane MacDonaghs in Ballina this Wednesday evening.

In the semi-finals on Wednesday 25th May, the winner will be away to Moneygall while Templederry Kenyons host Shannon Rovers in the other.

The North Final is pencilled in for Wednesday 1st June with all fixtures to have extra time and penalties.

Junior ‘A’ Hurling League: The semi-finals of the North Junior ‘A’ Hurling League took place last Friday. Toomevara proved too strong for Kiladangan with a 0-18 to 1-11 win whilst Borris-Ileigh had a 2-26 to 2-21 extra time win over league holders Roscrea. The final between Toomevara and Borris-Ileigh will take place this Friday 20th May at 7.00pm in Templederry.

Junior ‘B’ Hurling League: In Group 2, Kiladangan had a 3-17 to 1-15 win over Templederry Kenyons last Thursday which now ensures Kiladangan a spot in the knockout stages. Templederry will now face Silvermines this Saturday at 7.00pm in Templederry. A big win for Templederry is needed in order to progress on scoring difference. Nenagh Eire Og will host Portroe at the same time in the other game in the group. The remaining game in Group 1 will take place this Friday at 8.00pm in Kilcolman where Burgess face Ballinahinch.

Under 13 Football: The North Under 13 Football winning sides were in county semi-final action last weekend. On Monday evening, ‘A’ winners Newport beat Aherlow. Kiladangan lost to Galtee Rovers in the ‘B’, Moneygall defeated Eire Og Annacarty in the ‘C’ whilst Toomevara lost to Emly in the ‘D’.

Best of luck to Newport and Moneygall who take on Clonmel Commercials and Grangemockler/Ballyneale respectively in the County U13 ‘A’ & ‘C’ Football Finals this Sunday evening in Dundrum.
