World Cup award for Thurles photographer

Thurles photographer Sinéad Ní Rian's stunning image of ‘No Nay Never’, Champion Sire at Coolmore Stud, has won the World Photographic Cup - Best of Nation Award 2021.

This image was also part of Sinéad's panel, which included horse racing trainer Joseph O'Brien's derby-winning horse ‘Latrobe’, as well as Coolmore's Churchill, Mastercraftsman and Olympic Showjumper Greg Broderick's horse ‘Duco’, which recently won her ‘Portrait Photographer of the Year’ in the Irish Professional Photographers, Videographers Association 2021, and went on to represent Ireland in the World Cup.

There were entries from 38 countries.

Sinéad's winning image was photographed on location at Coolmore Stud using the latest Hasselblad camera X1D-50c and Hasselblad lens XCD f3.2/90mm. Her studio lights are all Profoto location kits, Hasselblad.
