Rebranding of Áras Folláin as Tipperary Peer Support

Áras Folláin is being relaunched as Tipperary Peer Support in time for Mental Health Week. Áras Folláin has fallen on hard times in recent years following an unsuccessful partnership venture to manage the facility. The organisation was left severely disenfranchised suffering loss of premises, loss of funds and loss of operational assets and the consequent dejection of volunteers.

However, the new Board of Directors are determined that the rebranded organisation will offer all of the services that made Áras Folláin a valued mental health peer support agency in Nenagh and the surrounding area.

Since its inception in 2007 Áras Folláin has become a valued support service in the local community. The organisation served a wide catchment around North Tipperary.

The key services that were most popular were Peer Support, Recovery Focused Education, Respite and Recreation. The Board of Directors are currently hard at work establishing the organisation as a company and a charity in order to avail of a wide spectrum of grant aid available to such organisations.

The new services are not open yet, this information is intended to inform people that the work of Áras Folláin will continue in Nenagh. In the interim we would appeal for sponsorship from individuals or commercial businesses in the town with a budget for this kind of endeavour.
