Books of Condolence open for Detective Garda Horkan

Books of Condolence have been opened at Garda Stations in the county and across the country following the tragic death of Detective Garda Colm Horkan in Castlerea, Co Roscommon on Wednesday night.

Tipperary TDs were united in offering their sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of Detective Garda Horkan.

Labour Party Leader, Alan Kelly TD, said: “My thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of Detective Colm Horkan. What happened to Detective Horkan is a stark reminder of the fact that members of An Garda Síochána put their lives on the line every single day. An attack on any member of An Garda Síochána is an attack on all of us. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”
