Nenagh Ormond have been left to count the cost of this game in more ways than one after they suffered back to back losses to Queens University in horrendous conditions last Saturday.

After suffering an extremely unlucky series of injuries in the reverse fixture before Christmas, Ormond management and players must have been cursing their luck as Kevin O’Gorman, Peter Coman and Aaron Hennessy were all forced off through injury before half time, to add to an already overflowing treatment room.

But despite this, the performance was extremely lacking in all areas as Queens had it far too easy against the home team, who rarely threatened a try throughout the whole game, with Keith Quigley’s try on the stroke of full time putting a minor gloss on a very one sided score-line.

Queens were full value for the win and were much more tuned in and played smarter rugby in the tough conditions; particularly in the second half as they blew away the hosts with some clinical passages of play, as Nenagh looked completely bereft of ideas.
