Late points by Stephen James Gleeson and Eoin Gleeson saw Kiladangan progress to a first County Intermediate Hurling Championship final in fifteen years as they edged past Golden Kilfeacle on Saturday.

This was a memorable win for a Kiladangan as it was their first team that reached that final in 2004 and now fifteen years on their second team have done likewise which is evidence of the great work done in the club.

This team fought to the bitter end with a display of skill and knowhow something many teams should aspire too. Remember this team looked a beaten docket after their North Final defeat to Moneygall last month but overcome the underdogs tag with a win over Shannon Rovers in the quarter final before their latest victory came against a side that are West champions and a team that had accounted for North champions Moneygall.
