The County Senior Hurling Championship got serious at the weekend as we finally reached the quarter finals with Kiladangan and Toomevara getting it underway on Saturday afternoon in exciting fashion.

Kiladangan managed to progress to the last four in the end but not after being pushed to the pin of their collars by Toomevara who more than played their part in a terrific contest up until the three quarter mark when the rains came and impacted the quality of the fare.

Up til them, this all North Tipperary quarter final didn’t disappoint, particularly in the first half which was full blooded with the sides extremely familiar with eachother and bringing and edge to proceedings which threatened to boil over on occasion with eight yellow cards issued with a number of players on both sides fortunate that there weren’t red.
