Unlike its hurling counterpart where predicting a Munster champion would be a fools errand, the same isn't the case for football.
With nine of the eleven Munster hurling championship games to get television, there will only one live game in football, the provincial final on 22nd June where Kerry will be expected to complete a seven-in-row.
At this stage, it would appear everyone is playing for second place and in that regard Tipperary would take it if it meant they reached the provincial final for the first time since 2016.
Manager Liam Kearns said at the time of that 3-17 to 2-10 defeat in Killarney that the key for Tipperary is to get back to a Munster final as quickly as possible. That hasn't materialised with Cork having ended their hopes at the semi-final stage over the past two seasons.
The rebels once again will provide semi-final opposition for Tipperary should they overcome the challenge of Limerick in next Saturday evening's Munster quarter final at Semple Stadium.
It's a game Tipperary will be expected to win with a bit to spare, despite their disappointing league campaign where they were relegated after just two seasons in division 2.
However, it was a campaign ravaged by injury with the hope being that the Premier County will enjoy better fortune in the summer when they have their full complement, including Robbie Kiely who his back from his world travels, while Bill Maher is also back from a long term injury.
