Lorrha face replay after failing to make numerical advantage count

Lorrha and Knockavilla will have to do it all again in the County Junior 'B' Championship final as a late late goal by the West side saw them earn a second chance following an exciting and dramatic final on Sunday afternoon.

There was plenty of drama in this final with Tipp senior star Ereena Fryday sent off early in the second half for a second bookable offence. Trailing by three points at the time, it looked a seminal moment but from there to the final whistle, Knockavilla dominated and managed to turn their pressure into a goal with virtually the last puck of the game.

In a stop-start game because of many injuries to both sides, this was a final that Lorrha should have won, particularly with an extra player at their disposal for almost all of the second half, a period in which they scored just once.
The sides met earlier in the competition where Lorrha narrowly took the spoils then, so both were expecting a tight affair again and it didn't disappoint.
