Ranger is rampant in Fair Warrior at Mullingar

A most prestigious event on the sprinting scene, the 2018 Agri Stores Fair Warrior 400 will reach semi-final stage on Saturday where the Christopher Delaney trained Rosbirr Ranger (Paradise Madison/Wrathchild) will bid to extend his wonderfully successful season having scorched to a brilliant second round victory at Mullingar.

Victorious in the opening round on his debut at the circuit, the Roscrea speedster progressed for that experience when breaking well from Trap 6 this week and immediately claiming the lead, he would quickly put the result beyond any doubt when bounding clear to a three length lead before reaching the first bend. Negotiating the tight turns with much aplomb, he extended further clear upon turning and reduced what had appeared a competitive heat to a virtual procession when readily asserting to a seven length verdict at the line in a fast 21.41 (-20).

Again drawn in Trap 6 for this week’s semi-final, he will have fellow fast heat winner Jimmy Blue Eyes to his immediate inner but given clear passage on the outside, Ranger will hold every chance to advance to the final when further extending his claim on the Sprinter Of The Year title in 2018.
