Family fun day and vintage car rally at obama plaza
Barack Obama Plaza Moneygall will celebrate the first anniversary of opening its doors for business this Sunday, June 14th from 2-5pm with a Vintage Car Rally & Family Fun Day. The grounds of Barack Obama Plaza, located at Junction 23 off the M7 Motorway, will be filled with rare vintage cars and tractors on the day while owners of these unique motors will be on hand to give information on the cars they have carefully restored and care for.
Young motor enthusiasts will be treated to a day of children’s entertainment, face painting, balloon modelling and prizes in the Plaza itself. Director of Barack Obama Plaza, Pat McDonagh, says: “We are delighted with the first year of business here in the Barack Obama Plaza. Since the Plaza successfully opened last year we have been grateful to serve motorists and the community of Moneygall. We wanted to give a day to remember to all our customers and believe that providing a platform for these admirable cars gives a perfect opportunity to customers who wish to learn about our motoring history.”
Vintage Car Clubs due to be in attendance on the day include Borrisokane Vintage Club; Nenagh Classic Car Club; Portumna Vintage Club; Limerick Classic Car Club; Clare Classic Car Club and Ballinakill Vintage Club. Up to 300 vintage cars and tractors are due to be in attendance.
