House breakins in nenagh

Houses in two private estates of the main Borrisokane Road in Nenagh were broken into on Monday, leading to speculation that the same culprits were involved in both incidents.

Meanwhile, tools worth an estimated €7,000 were taken when entry was gained to a Hiace van that was parked up by the owner for the night last Friday. The haul included drills and power saws.

In the Nenagh house break-ins a sum of €200 in coins was stolen from a property in the Bruach Tailte estate. Hours earlier a pane of glass was removed from the kitchen window of a house across the road at Brookville Green. Gardaí say they are waiting for the owners to confirm if anything was stolen.

In a separate development, a small quantity of cannabis  was seized from two males at the Railway Station in Nenagh on Saturday.
