Comedy at arts centre

‘Angel Dust and Dallas’, which is described as an outrageous, high energy comedy visits Nenagh Arts Centre this Sunday.


Dreamtime Theatre from Tipperary present this play which is written by Paul Maher; directed by Amy Hill at Nenagh Arts Centre this Sunday.

 

It stars Upperchurch’s Aine Ryan, (Kitty In the Lane, Edinburgh Festival 2014); and Irene Kelleher (Fair City, Game of Thrones) a three times All Ireland winner with Kilmeen Drama (Co Cork). Writer Paul Maher will be remembered around Nenagh for his acclaimed short play ‘A Vote For Michael Lowry’ presented two years ago by Nenagh Players.



The play is set in Ireland in 1992 and Madge, parish sacristan and sometimes gambler loves Bobby Ewing (from ‘Dallas’ on TV) while May, the priest’s housekeeper and priest tormentor loves Cliff Barnes and the local Garda is obsessed with Elvis and ‘Women Who Kill’.
