Nominations for Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards Close next Friday, February 10th
Nominations for the Godolphin Stud and Stable Stud Awards close next Friday, February 10th at 5pm. The awards encompass 10 categories, which carry total prize-money of €80,000, an increase of €10,000 from 2016, plus a five day educational tour to Dubai for the Newcomer Award winner.
Nominations can be completed online at www.studandstablestaffawards.ie. Nomination forms can also be downloaded from the website and can be returned to the Marketing Department in Horse Racing Ireland, no later than 5pm on Friday, February 10th. Forms are also available from Horse Racing Ireland Head Office and members of the Irish Stable Staff Association will be distributing forms at all race meetings this weekend and next week.
The 2017 awards will take place in the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny on Tuesday, May 9th.
Chairman of the Irish Stablestaff Association, Bernard Caldwell, said: “With only a week to go to the nominations deadline, I would encourage everyone working in racing and breeding to nominate their friends and colleagues past and present. Some of the award categories have been amended to more accurately reflect the work of the nominees and to incorporate those working in the breeding sector, so it is worthwhile reading each of the award criteria carefully. Every nomination counts – a person only has to be nominated once to be considered.”
