Tipp face Cork in 2016 Munster Championship

The draw has been made for the 2016 GAA Championships and Tipperary hurlers begin the defence of their Munster crown with a mouth-watering quarter-final clash against Cork. This tie will be a first championship outing for new managers Michael Ryan of Tipperary and Cork's  Kieran Kingston.

 

Limerick await the winners of the Tipperary v Cork clash while the other semi-final features Clare and Waterford. In the Munster football championship, the Premier County will meet in the first quarter-final, with Clare and Limerick meeting in the other. Cork will face the winners of the Tipperary/Waterford tie in the provincial semi-final while Munster champions Kerry will meet the winners of the Clare/Limerick game.
