The walking group on a recent outings Moylussa Co.Clare

Roscrea Trail Blazers news

On Thursday night last the Trail Blazers headed to The Kinnity Castle loop in the Slieve Blooms. The forecast on the night had been for wintry showers but the group struck it lucky with a clear night with no rain. A fantastic walk with great company and well done to the new members that joined the group and hopefully will stick with the walking.

This Thursday, February 15th, sees the group heading to Golden Grove and Orange Hill. This is a moderate walk on quite country lanes and is 8km long. Meeting at Mulrooney’s Gala at 7pm or Dromakeenan School carpark at 7.10. Please bring Hi Viz jacket and hand/head torch.

Now that the evenings have closed in we are back to walking in the dark, this is still a great way to keep fit over the winter and can be quite a positive experience walking under the night’s sky, The Trail Blazers would like to put out an open invitation to the general public to join them at some point on their winter walks programme for 2018. Walking is a great way to get into shape as well as being a great way to meet new friends and see new places.

The Trail Blazers website www.roscreatrailblazers.com is up and running with a list of 13 day trips over the coming months
