'Les Misérables' a huge success for Nenagh Choral Society

Last Sunday evening the curtain fell on another Nenagh Choral Society Youth Academy production, and what a production it was!

'Les Misérables' is, without doubt, one of the finest musicals to ever grace the stages in musical theatre and our youth academy have done it fine justice - a fact that was acknowledged by West End superstar Andy Reiss on the opening night when he took time out of his extremely busy schedule to pay a very special visit to Nenagh to see our young cast perform.

Andy is a veteran performer in 'Les Misérables', having played every male lead role in the show. He spoke with the cast before and after the show and advised that they have taken their place in history by performing 'Les Misérables' and had made it their own.

Also on opening night we had AIMS President Colm Moules with us. He spoke with the cast after the performance, telling them that the future of youth musical theatre in Nenagh was in very safe hands with them. A huge compliment, that we are delighted to receive.

On closing night we had AIMS Vice President Seamus Power in attendance. He was very impressed with the show as he advised the cast when he met them after a powerful final performance. We have had a very successful run of shows this year, and we thank everyone who attended or contributed in any way for your continued support of our youth academy.

As one show closes, preparations for the next one begin, and so on Tuesday October 17th rehearsals started for the adult production of 'My Fair Lady' in the Scouts Hall, Nenagh, at 7.30pm. New members are always welcome so please come and join us for this great show. See you all there!
