There are 2,246 fewer people on the Live Register in Tipperary compared to this time last year according to Offaly/North Tipperary Fine Gael TD, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy.

This comes as the number of people signing on the Live Register last month fell to the lowest level since September 2008.

Deputy Corcoran Kennedy said: “The number of people on the Live Register has fallen by 2,246 or 17% since this time last year. Since the Action Plan for Jobs was launched in February 2012, the number signing on in Tipperary has decreased by 36% or 6,078 people."
