Billy's Cinema: Martin Twisty O'Brien, John Cummins and Ashley Holt.

New single from Nenagh band Billy's Cinema

New Nenagh rock band Billy's Cinema are back with a ballad that looks at some serious issues facing modern society.

Billy's Cinema enjoyed a Christmas No 1 on iTunes last year after Martin Twisty O'Brien and Johnny Cummins joined Ashley Holt to release 'Heartsong'. They recently followed that up with another successful single called 'Translate'.

Now Billy's Cinema have a third single out, and it's a banger! Titled 'Barriers', the song is loosely based along some underlining topics happening in Ireland and across the world. It echoes out a message of hope and a willingness for people to come together and peacefully break down the barriers that lie in the way of justice, freedom, right to medicinal cannabis for people who need it, homelessness, and equality.

“We want to do our bit in getting more awareness out there and to provide what could be an anthem for all the suffering people are going through, and for all who are being constantly ignored by our government.”

A band much in the vein of Foo Fighters, REM and Jimmy Eat World, Billy's Cinema will release their debut EP – 'Pictures of Earth from Mars' – on CD in June.

'Barriers' is available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Soundcloud, and Google Play. Check out the band's Facebook page for the video and more details.
