Sponsored dog walk in Nenagh

If you look closely at your dog, you will notice that the ears are up, the tail is wagging and there is a distinct look of eager anticipation in the eyes.

They know it is that time of the year again, when the Tipperary Friends of Animals hold their sponsored dog walk in Nenagh.

This year it will be held on Sunday May 28th, starting at 3pm with a blessing of the animals, and then a three-mile walk from Banba Square, down Gortlandroe and the Dark Road and back in on the Limerick Road to Banba Square.

On returning, there will be refreshments for the dogs and their owners. Sponsorship forms can be collected from Linda Hehir. Her phone number is 086-8163707.

All the money raised from the dog walk will be spent directly on animal welfare. There are so many unwanted dogs, cats and horses that have been seriously abused, starved and abandoned and the Tipperary Friends of Animals are constantly trying to rescue, care for and rehome these misfortunate animals. Pet bills are very high so money raised is precious.
