Nenagh recycling centre is Tipp's top

Nenagh's local authority-run recycling centre had by far the highest number of visitors in the county last year.

Some 67,240 visitors were recorded at the Limerick Road centre by Tipperary Co Council's Environment section. The council has five recycling centres, which accept paper, cardboard, plastic, timber, garden waste, DIY waste, glass, metal, waste electrical goods, batteries, textiles, waste oil and household hazardous waste for recycling.

 

The council's recycling centre in Roscrea had 31,590 visitors in 2016, compared to 20,389 in Clonmel, 19,632 in Cashel and 10,238 in Tipperary Town.
