Begin Your Journey To Better Hearing As Specsavers' Mobile Hearing Van Pulls Into Nenagh

To celebrate the fifth year of the Specsavers’ Sound Check Ireland Roadshow, Specsavers has introduced two mobile hearing vans which will travel the length and breadth of the country throughout the year to highlight the importance of hearing health.

The hearing van will be offering the people of Nenagh free hearing tests and expert advice from Specsavers’ qualified audiologists on the following day:

DATE: Friday, 10 June

TIME: 9.30am-1.30pm

LOCATION:

Parking Lot,

Kenyon Street Car Park

Speaking on the importance of taking a proactive approach to hearing health, Specsavers Nenagh, Director, Orlagh Moynihan said, “Regular hearing checks should be part of everyone’s healthcare routine and at Specsavers we recommend that people over the age of 55 get a hearing test every two years. The hearing van is designed to make it even easier for people to take the first step in tackling hearing loss and to ensure that anyone concerned about their hearing has access to free and professional advice.”

Untreated hearing loss can affect every aspect of life and can lead to depression and social isolation which is why early diagnosis is essential. Identifying the problem early and addressing hearing loss with an expert can mean preserving the ability to communicate with friends and family well into later life.

The hearing van provides three-minute hearing screenings, with no need to book an appointment in advance. The screener lets customers know if they would benefit from a full test, which takes approximately an hour.
