Toastmasters

Thanks to all members who attended our annual dinner at The Fairways. A very enjoyable night was had by all.

It is always great to get the opportunity to meet and socialise further with each other outside of our regular meetings. There was a lovely atmosphere on the night. Many thanks to Joan and all the staff. The food provided by The Fairways was top class and great value too. Our last regular meeting was held on Tuesday 02 February in the Abbey Court Hotel. Special thank you to John Brooks who took on the role of Toastmaster on the night with short notice. There were three prepared speeches. Congratulations to Donal Ryan (Stage 3), Rose Walshe (Stage 7) and Joe Ryan (Advanced Stage Gold) who completed their projects from the Toastmaster’s manuals. These three speeches were evaluated by Morgan Ryan, Helen Spillane and Jim McGuire. Donncha Shanahan was sitting in the role of Topicsmaster and provided the random table topics in the second half of the meeting.

Toastmaster members are reminded that the current subscription for 2016 is now due.
