Reggie Goodbody book launched in Dromineer

Radio presenter Marcus Connaughton was guest speaker at the recent launch of Dromineer boatman Reggie Goodbody's memoir.

'Water, Wind & Wood: A Memoir' was launched at Lough Derg Yacht Club.
In his address, Mr Connaughton extolled the content of Reggie Goodbody's book, in which the remarkable contribution of the Quaker community is a thread that the runs throughout the pages.
“From the 'Big Freeze' in 1947 to the present day, I often found myself in a parallel universe, given the familiarity with both locations and many of those characters who crop up in 'Water, Wind & Wood',” Mr Connaughton said.
“There’s never a dull moment with Reggie.”
The guest speaker remarked on the “beautifully produced memoir printed and published exquisitely by the Nenagh Guardian”. Mr Connaughton said it was “so refreshing to see a book not alone published but printed on this island”.
Printed and published by Nenagh's Guardian Print, 'Water, Wind & Wood: A Memoir' by Reggie Goodbody is available at the Nenagh Bookshop, Friar St.
