Burglaries in nenagh district

Gardaí are investigating a series of burglaries in the Nenagh district over the past week.
In one incident, cash and jewellery was taken when a house was broken into at St Patrick's Terrace in Nenagh last Thursday. The house was ransacked. The incident was reported to gardaí the following day. The gardaí have carried out door-to-door enquiries and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Gardaí are also appealing for information about a house break-in at Cormack Drive, Nenagh on Monday. Cash was stolen. It is understood that a garden fork was used to force open the back door.
Another break-in occurred at Cluain Bán in Roscrea last Wednesday. The house was not occupied and it is not known what was taken. Gardaí are seeking to trace a group of three to four men who were seen in a car in the area at the time. The car is believed to be a dark-coloured Volvo S40 with a 02 registration plate.
Meanwhile a doctor's surgery was broken into on Cloughjordan's Templemore road some time between Monday and Tuesday last week. The incident was reported to the gardaí on Wednesday. Cash and cheques were taken.
Elsewhere a battery was stolen from a tractor that was parked overnight at Curryquinn, Dolla last Wenesday. A builder's trailer was taken from a haybarn at Brickanagh, Cloughjordan last Saturday. And tools were stolen from a garden shed at Lower Ormond St, Nenagh last Wednesday night.
