End of night shifts at tesco

Tesco has confirmed that it intends to end night shifts at its Nenagh store and reduce night working arrangements in Roscrea.

In a statement this week, Tesco Ireland Ltd said it is fully closing night working arrangements at 33 stores, including Nenagh, with colleagues either moving to day shifts or taking voluntary redundancy, and partially closing night working arrangements at 30 stores, including Roscrea.
'There are no proposed changes to the opening hours of Tesco Nenagh or Roscrea,' a spokesperson stressed. It is anticipated that one position could be lost in Nenagh, but Tesco said it would have around 15 extra roles across its Nenagh and Roscrea stores during the busiest times of the day, in a move aimed at improving customer service.
'These roles will be filled by colleagues transferring from night to day shifts, increased hours for existing colleagues, and recruitment where necessary,' the spokesperson stated.
