Rail trips to limerick on ice

Nenagh Community Rail partnership invites you to join them on their annual trip to Limerick on Ice.

The trips will take place over three days to cater for Nenagh, Cloughjordan and Roscrea. People from the Ballina area can board the train at Birdhill. The Nenagh group is being looked after by Virginia O'Dowd on Monday, December 29th. The Tuesday, December 30th group will be aimed at Cloughjordan and surrounding areas and will be looked after by Duncan Martin.

The Roscrea group will travel on Wednesday, December 31st and will be looked after by Jack Doherty. The train will leave Roscrea at 10.25am; Cloughjordan, 10.46am; Nenagh at 11.05am, and Birdhill at 11.33am, arriving in Limerick at 12.04pm. The return train is at 4.55pm. The rail fare costs €6 return for over 16s and €3 return for under 16s from any station along the line. Please bring some form of ID to avoid confusion of ages, if possible.

Entry to Limerick on Ice is €10, a saving of €5 for over 13s and €3 for under 13s. The skating time allotted each day for each group is 1pm to 2pm. To avail of the skating discount, you must travel by train. There is no need to pre-book tickets.
