House damaged by fire in ballinaclough

A house in Ballinaclough, Nenagh was badly damaged  following a fire in the property on last Wednesday afternoon.

The sittingroom of the house, which is close to the Forge Pub, was completely gutted and the remainder of the house extensively damaged by smoke.

Nenagh Fire Brigade received a call at 1.55pm and managed to bring the blaze under control.  Fortunately, the house was unoccupied when the fire broke out.

A spokesman for Tipperary Fire Services said it was not yet clear what started the blaze.
