Burglars strike again in nenagh roscrea and rearcross
Jewellery and gold worth €2,100 and €100 in cash were stolen in a house burglary in Nenagh on Saturday last.
The culprits targeted a house in Cudville Green, an estate that has seen a number of similar incidents over past months.
The house was vacant at the time, and the owner's suspicion was raised on arriving home to find a back window opened, and signs that the entire property had been searched.
In a separate incident, a man in his 30s fled after being confronted by the owner after he entered a house in the Carrig Rua estate in the town on Friday last.
He was spotted leaving the area with two others in a white van, which was subsequently stopped by gardaí a short distance away. An indiviudal in the vehilce was arrested and is understood to be helping gardaí with their inquiries.
In Roscrea, approximately €450 in cash, as well as hair dressing equipment, was taken from a hair salon at Rosemary Square on Friday last.
