Four Munster Tennis titles for Nenagh LTC

Nenagh Lawn Tennis Club’s excellent record of recent years in the Munster Winter League was maintained at the finals at Limerick Lawn on Sunday when the club contested five finals and won four of them, another remarkable achievement.

It was a long day on the Ennis Road in Limerick with 16 finals up for decision and there was a great atmosphere throughout the dry but cold day.

Nenagh’s Grade 2 Men's team of Alan Darcy, Eamonn Murtagh, David Hackett and Brian McGahey defeated Lower Aghada in their final.

In Grade 4 Mixed, the team of Sally McGrath, Deirdre O’Brolchain, Michael Gilmartin, Willie Gleeson defeated Causeway (Dungarvan) in the final.

Tom Walsh, Owen Geaney, Kim O’Meara and Jean Ryan won the Grade 5 Mixed final against Sunday’s Well.

And in Grade 6 Ladies, Michelle McMahon, Elaine Kelly, Marie Moylan and Natasha Murtagh emerged triumphant in their final against Lakewood from Ballincollig.
