Last gasp goal sees Borrisokane past Moneygall

Despite the prospect of extra-time looking inevitable, it was Borrisokane who departed Fr. Kenyon Park with a spring in their step on Sunday evening, courtesy of a last-minute Shane Dooley goal which secured a county semi-final berth against either Cashel King Cormacs.

It was heartbreak for Moneygall, who hit fifth gear a number of times throughout the sixty-plus minutes, but just couldn’t sustain that tempo for long enough, allowing their opponents to keep pace and eventually sneak past them right at the death.
