Drugs searches carried out in Nenagh

Gardaí have carried out several drugs searches in Nenagh in recent days and have recovered various quantities of tablets.

A property was searched at Castlewood on Wednesday last and suspected illegal tablets were recovered; they have been sent for analysis. Tablets of a similar nature were discovered in a search at Cormack Drive last Friday.


And a quantity of Xanax tablets was discovered after gardaí seized a car on the Borrisokane Road last Tuesday morning. The male driver of the vehicle was reportedly driving without insurance and was arrested at the scene.


There was also a seizure of cannabis herb made at Dromin Court on Tuesday of last week.


Gardaí are investigating an incident at Glenwood, Newport, in which the front window of a house and windscreen of a car were damaged in the early hours of Friday last.


Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drink driving in the last week, one at Ashbury, Roscrea last Friday and one at Cluan Caoin in Nenagh last Sunday. A male was arrested on suspicion of drug driving at Urra, Ballycommon, last Tuesday week.
