Bealtaine at Borrisokane Library

A huge Thank You to local ceramic artist Sandra Cole for giving up her time over the last month to kindly take part in the Bealtaine Festival at Borrisokane Library.

Firstly, she brought a group of nine out to her studio in Terryglass where they began making their pieces. A very enjoyable morning was had on May 9th for two hours. This was the beginning of their Ceramic Journey!

In the meantime, Sandra fired the pieces and brought them along to with her to the library on May 21st and met with the group to glaze their pieces. Once again she brought them away to her workshop to be fired again.

And then on Tuesday June 4th, Sandra came in with the pieces ready for collection and we all enjoyed coo-ing over them. No doubt that some were shocked at how good their pieces turned out, but with their skill and Sandra’s guidance...

Sandra is excellent at her craft and it has been a pleasure to have her here for the last month. Anyone who is unfamiliar with the pieces needs to pay a visit to www.coleceramics.ie. You can be sure that these pieces will get pride of place in their new homes.
