Artist Jacinta Walsh at Nenagh Library

Nenagh Library is delighted to welcome back Jacinta Walsh, who will be exhibiting with us for the remainder of January.

Jacinta has worked as both a solo artist and painted with groups in Cork, Kerry and Tipperary. Born and reared in Limerick and largely self-taught, her parents encouraged her creativity and love of painting from an early age and this influences her work, with several paintings featuring images that evoke memories of childhood.

She paints in oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolour, featuring a wide range of subjects, including landscapes, waterscapes, portraits, animals, still life, abstracts, etc. A love of nature and travel inspires her work and, having spent two years painting in rural Spain, her paintings are infused with the vibrant colours and warmth of the Mediterranean.

Trained in Jungian psychology and art therapy, she uses her work to explore the subconscious and spiritual dimensions. Jacinta also creates theme/seasonal murals as well as photo collage, book cover design and paintings to commission.

She will launch her short exhibition in Nenagh Library this Saturday, 19th February at 2.30pm.
