The Greatest Showman for Octaves concert

One of the highlights of the Ormond Octaves 10th Anniversary Celebration Concert in Saint Mary's of the Rosary Church, Nenagh, on Friday night, December 14th, will be the choir's dedication to the hit film, The Greatest Showman.

Backed by the choir, leading tenor, Templederry's Liam Brennan, seen here in the photograph, will sing his wonderful rendition of A Million Dreams, one of the lovliest songs from the highly acclaimed 2017 musical.

It's a performance that is set to go down very well on a night that promises a feast of wonderful song and music as the Octaves hearld the start of the festive season with Christmas carols as well as rock, pop and soft spiritual singing that is just perfect for the time of year.

Special guests will be the renowned bass/baritone Derek Ryan and the wonderful violinist Edmond Dwan from Thurles.

Musical director on the night will be the idefatigable Niamh Ryan who founded the Ormond Octaves in 2008.

Proceeds from the night will be presented to the Friends of Nenagh Hospital and the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Tickets, €15, can be got from any member of the Ormond Octaves, or can be purchased at the door of the church on the night. The performance starts at 8pm.
