Ballycommon harp teacher at international festival

Fiana Ní Chonaill, harp teacher for the Ballycommon Comhaltas branch and director of Cuisle Harp Ensemble, recently represented Ireland at the International Celtic Harp Meeting in Dinan, France.

Artistic director Rémi Myrdhin invited her to the festival where she performed at the opening in the l'abbaye de Léhon alongside Celtic harpists from all over the world. Special guests included the Mayor of Dinan, Didier Lechien, and Joëlle Le Guffant (Cultural Office of the Mayor).

During the week, Fiana taught Irish music during the organised workshops for over 80 harp students. On the final day, Sunday July 15th, she had the privilege of performing a solo concert to bring the festival to a close.

Videos and pictures from the performances are available on her website, www.fianaharpmusic.com, or Facebook page, Fiana Harp Music.
