A long-vacant town centre site in Nenagh was recently sold and is being readied for use again.


The former Dunnes Stores building on Pearse St has been purchased by an investor from the local area. It is understood that discussions are presently taking place with a potential tenant with a view to leasing the premises as a retail enterprise.


The building will require a considerable amount of internal work before it reopens. It comprises a ground floor retail area of 4,000 square feet (377 square metres) with 10.75 metres of street frontage onto Pearse St.


It also has a basement store room of 4,266 square feet (400 square metres) and first floor comprising of a canteen, cash office, two changing rooms and toilet. The second floor consists of three offices.


Local selling agent Sherry Fitzgerald Talbot describes the property as “a significant retail premises in the most high-profile retail pitch in Nenagh”.
