Counterfeit cash in circulation in Nenagh

Gardaí have issued a warning over the circulation of counterfeit cash in Nenagh after a number of fake notes were passed in local shops last week. Gardaí say they are following a definite line of inquiry into this matter.

Meanwhile, gardaí are appealing for witness information after a truck was set on fire in Roscrea last week.

The incident occurred just outside the town at Scart in the early hours of Friday morning. CCTV footage has been reviewed and gardaí are asking anyone with information to come forward.

A similar appeal is being made after damage was caused to a car at St Conlon’s Road, Nenagh, around 11am last Friday. Gardaí are seeking dash-cam footage from any motorists in the area at that time.
