Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal
It is the time of year again when our thoughts turn to the Christmas Shoebox Appeal. This is a Team Hope project whereby covered shoeboxes are filled with gifts which are then delivered straight into the hands of children affected by poverty in Eastern Europe and Africa.
The children range in ages from 2 - 14 years. Items suitable for the boxes are as follows;
· Writing material - Colouring books, Pens, Pencils, Colouring pencils, Crayons, Erasers
· Small Soft Toys - Toy cars, sunglasses, skipping ropes
· Small items of clothing
· Toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, face cloths and combs
A sum of €6 is required for each box to cover transportation and distribution costs. If you would like to contribute to this project, we are holding a tea/coffee day and Bric - a- Brac stall on Friday October 16th 2026 in the Methodist Hall, The Mall, Roscrea from 10:00 - 12:00 (noon), 2pm- 4pm, 7pm - 9pm. Admission is €5.
Come along and see our display of some filled shoeboxes, get a bargain at the bric-a-brac stall, enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and a chat. Your kindness and generosity can bring great joy and hope to a child this Christmas.
