A ‘huge event’ for Nenagh
The Grand and Glamorous Fashion Show, a fashion event that is organised to raise funds for charity, is set to return for its fourth event on Friday, November 6, in the Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh.
A Glamorous night in Nenagh
“Its going to be an amazing night,” shared Mary Garrigan, one of four main organisers of the event.
“All our local boutiques are taking part. There will be Irish designers and also boutiques from all around the country getting involved. It will be a huge event,” she said.
“There will be trade stands on the night. This year, we are opening at 6pm so people have time to shop as there will be some beautiful trade stands.
“Then there will be a glass of prosecco in the Tepee with some lovely canapés from the Abbey Court. There will also be a chance to get some photographs with some of our influencers that are coming on the night and a 360-degree photobooth and music,” highlighted Mary.
“The show will start at 8pm. Marietta Doran will be hosting it again this year with me,” she outlined.
“It’s an event that everyone can enjoy from every age. There is going to be singers, dancers, fashion, excellent speakers and we have the Rose of Tralee coming,” shared Mary.
Mid-western Cancer Foundation
This year, the show will be raising funds for the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation which is based in Mungret, Co. Limerick.
“Tickets are €50 and its for a very good cause. The Mid-Western Cancer foundation is an amazing foundation based in Limerick that helps people after their treatment,” said Mary.
“They have also set up a new programme called ‘Climb’ which is for children whose parents are going through cancer treatment. They help children to deal with everyday life when their parent is sick,” expressed Mary.
In a statement shared by the Grand and Glamorous Fashion Show committee on behalf of the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation, it said:
“The funds raised will help us continue providing vital services, free of charge, to cancer patients and their families throughout the Mid-West region.
“Our services include complementary therapies, counselling, cancer support groups and many more.”
Goodie Bags and Prizes to be won
“Everyone that comes to the event will get a goodie bag. Anyone that was there last year, or the year before, will know that the goodie bag is a very good goodie bag,” shared Mary highlighting how each goodie bag will have vouchers and the shows advertisement booklet inside in the bag.
“There will be a raffle run on the night as well. We have already collected fantastic spot prizes from people,” shared Mary.

“Everybody in the local area has been absolutely amazing helping us out and giving us prizes. Just from myself and on behalf of the committee, already I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who has been so good to us,” expressed Mary on behalf their fundraising group.
