Extension granted for nursing home plan

Tipperary Co Council has granted an extension of duration of planning permission for a 90-bed nursing home, crèche and health centre in Nenagh.

Having provided 67 residential units for the Respond approved housing body at Tyone, Lisbunny Developments Ltd sought extra time to provide the nursing home, crèche and health centre, which were additional elements of the same plan. The council was informed that the residential units were prioritised, while construction of the additional elements could not commence until the building sites were fully serviced, which they are now.

The council has now granted the developer’s application, extending the duration of planning permission to 2031.
