Local stars to model at fashion show

Six local 'models' including a former hurling star, a member of the fire service, a well known Musical Society soloist, and a teacher, will join the professionals under the floodlights on the ramp for a glittering fashion show next week.

GAA All-Star Tipperary All-Ireland medal holder, Conor O'Mahony, Limerick Fire and Rescue Services; Murtagh Crawford, Finbarr O'Shea, a leading member of Newport Musical Society and primary school teacher, Cian O'Brien will be joined by Isabel Collins and Robin Coffey to model beside the galaxy of professionals from the Hillary Thompson Modelling Agency for the Newport Convent Primary School Fashion Show.

The show, being organised by the Convent Primary Scghool Parents Association takes place at Newport Community Centre, on Friday week, October 9, with doors open at 7.30pm for a drinks reception before the show at 8pm.

The parents association have thrown their support into organising the event as a fund raiser for STEM equipment for the school.

A huge selection of fabulous outfits from leading boutiques in the region including, Pamela Scott, Sinead's Boutique, Paco, Tony Connolly's, Penney's, Marion Murphy Cooney's, Lisa Baker's, Caroline Mitchell's, Frock's and Frill's Boutique and Joanne's Boutique, will be presented on the night.

All attending the show are welcome to a party at the Freigh Inn, Newport immediately after.
