The Watch Centre Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship

Ballina have booked their place in the final after a comprehensive win over Roscrea on Sunday, 5-24 to 1-12. They await the winners of Borrisokane v Newport who play this Saturday 5th September at 6.00pm in Borrisokane. The final is pencilled on for the weekend of 13th September but will also depend on county fixtures.

The Watch Centre Junior ‘C’ Hurling Championship

The semi-finals take place this weekend, this Saturday at 6.00pm, Silvermines will play Nenagh in Dolla while on Sunday, Ballina host Borris-Ileigh at 12.00pm.

The final is pencilled in for the weekend of September 20th.

Ger Gavin Minor Hurling Championships

The Minor ‘A’ Hurling final was postponed last Sunday due to torrential rain right before throw-in at MacDonagh Park Nenagh, and has been refixed for Wednesday, September 9th at 6.30pm in Borrisoleigh.

The ‘B’ Final did manage to beat the weather with Naomh Eoin completing the hurling and football double with a five point win over Moneygall,

On Saturday evening, Lorrha overcame Newport in the ‘C’. See match reports for full details.

Under 16 Hurling

The U16 Hurling Finals take place this Saturday as a double header in Templederry.

At 3.30pm, the ‘A’ final sees Newport and Toomevara face off, followed at 5.00pm when Moneygall take on Kiladangan in the ‘B’ decider.

Under 12 Hurling

Congratulations to the four winning clubs on a great day in Cloughjordan on Saturday in the North finals: U12 ‘A’ – Kiladangan; U12 ‘B’ – Moneygall; U12 ‘C’ – Templederry Kenyons; U12 ‘D’ – Toomevara. Thanks to the Kilruane MacDonaghs club for hosting.

Sympathies

The North Board extends its sympathies to Lorrha/Dorrha GAA Club and the King on the passing of Liam King, who won an All-Ireland senior hurling medal with Tipperary in 1971 and a North Senior Hurling title with Lorrha in 1966.
