Losing start for Nenagh in Limerick League
Limerick District League Review
By Pat Sheehan
Nenagh AFC suffered defeat in their opening two Limerick Premier League games, suggesting at this early stage, that it could be a struggle for the Tipperary side this season.
After narrowly avoiding the drop last season lost a couple of players in the off season. They recruited a couple of young players but they will need time to bed into the pace of the Premier League.
On Thursday evening, Nenagh kicked off with a visit to Geraldines and were rather unlucky to go down 2-1.
The home side took an early lead but Conor McCormack levelled when he pounced to finish after Conor Hanniffy’s free kick was parried by the keeper.
With time running out Geraldines snatched a late winner through Famara Kassama.
