The Watch Centre Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship
Kilruane MacDonaghs are the 2026 North Tipperary Junior ‘A’ Hurling champions after defeating Roscrea on Saturday evening in Templederry. Brian O’Meara and Cillian Healy were to the fore on the scoring front for Kilruane. See match report.
The Watch Centre Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship
Newport defeated Moneygall 0-27 to 1-12 in the first quarter final last Friday in Newport. The second quarter final takes place this Thursday, 20th August with Roscrea hosting Toomevara at 6.45pm
Newport, Borrisokane and Ballina await the winner in the semi-finals, which will take place the weekend of August 28th.
The Watch Centre Junior ‘C’ Hurling Championship
The group stages of the Junior ‘C’ Hurling Championship are nearly concluded. In Group 1, there are two games remaining involving Borris-Ileigh. They take on Burgess on Thursday, 20th August and final group game against Silvermines the following weekend. All teams are in with a chance to qualify before these games are played.
In group 2, Ballina and Nenagh Eire Og are qualified into the semi-finals which will take place on the first weekend of September,
Ger Gavin Minor Hurling Championships
The semi-finals of the Minor ‘A’ & ‘B’ Hurling Championship take place this Wednesday, 19th August at 6.45pm with games to finish on the day.
In the ‘A’, Newport take on Borris-Ileigh in Templederry and Kilruane MacDonaghs face Roscrea in Toomevara.
In the ‘B’ grade, Naomh Eoin take on Ballinahinch/Templederry in Puckane and Moneygall face Portroe in Nenagh.
Minor Football
Newport and Naomh Eoin were victorious in the ‘A’ & ‘B’ Football finals last week over Ballina and Toomevara respectively. See match reports.
Under 16 Hurling
The semi-finals of the ‘A’ & ‘B’ Hurling Championships will take place on Monday, 24th August at 6.45pm.
In the ‘A’ grade, Nenagh Eire Og take on Newport in Puckane and Kilruane MacDonaghs face Toomevara in Moneygall
In the ‘B’ grade, Lorrha take on Moneygall in Cloughjordan and Kiladangan face Borris-Ileigh in Toomevara
Under 12 Football Finals
The U12 Football finals take place over the next few days. In the ‘A’ grade, Borris-Ileigh take on Roscrea on Tuesday 25th August at 6.45pm in Moneygall, while on Saturday in Dolla we have a triple-header. At 11.00am in the ‘D’ grade, Silvermines take on Roscrea while at 12.00pm in the ‘C’ grade, Templederry take on Ballinahinch, and finally at 1.00pm in the ‘B’ final, Burgess take on Moneygall.
