Sponsor for Roscrea Music Festival
Soleire Renewables support for event
Roscrea is gearing up for an exciting new music festival this September, with Irish renewable energy company Soleire Renewables confirmed as the event's main sponsor.
The sponsorship was announced during a launch event at Lily O'Brien's Pub last week. The festival will take place against the backdrop of Roscrea Castle, bringing together live music, local food and entertainment in the heart of the town.
Soleire Renewables is a developer of the nearby Erkina Solar Park, which has been generating green energy since 2025. Located just outside Roscrea, the solar farm consists of three interconnected sites near Roscrea with the capacity to export 250MW of renewable electricity, enough to power almost 37,000 homes.
The Roscrea Music Festival will take place on Saturday, September 12, on Castle Street and will be a free event to attend. Event organisers will reveal the festival lineup of acts over the coming weeks. For the latest updates, follow the Roscrea Music Festival Facebook page for details.
PJ McCarthy, Managing Director of Soleire Renewables, said: “Soleire Renewables is delighted to be the main sponsor for the Roscrea Music Festival. The event is shaping up to be a fun for all day, bringing together live music, food and local spirit. Ever since becoming part of the local area during the development of Erkina Solar Park, we have been committed to being involved in and helping local initiatives. We have previously sponsored the annual Knock Tractor Run, while our recently established Community Benefit Fund will provide further support for projects that benefit the local community. We hope music lovers from across the region will join us in Roscrea this September for what promises to be a memorable day.”
Alison Hynes, Chairperson of the Roscrea Music Festival organising committee, added: “Thank you to Soleire Renewables. The immediate support and sponsorship ensured the festival is a go for this year. Also, their enthusiasm in backing our committee and community in bringing a much needed and deserved party to Roscrea certainly put the wind in our sails. We look forward to working with them again and again in the upcoming years in growing the Roscrea Music festival.”
